| These are pictures of the fair from last year! |
The Kentucky State is a tradition in my family. I have attended the fair ever since I was 2 years old. It is one of my favorite times of year! The first step to visit the fair is that we go to Kroger and purchase our fair tickets (you can get a huge discount there. This offer ends Aug. 17th!)
When we arrive we go straight to the animals! The agricultural aspect of the fair is my favorite. I love looking at all of the pigs, cows, chickens ,and sheep. When we get tired and hot we go in the air conditioned horse arena and watch the World Championship Horse Show while we eat cotton candy. Another favorite at the fair is the food! Carnival rides really aren't my main focus considering I'm too tall to ride them! Last but not least, there is a very large expo hall is filled with hundreds of Kentucky vendors that sell merchandise. Some of these booths have real wildlife there! The fair is an all day event. There is so much more that we see and do but I don't have time to write about it! You will just have to experience the rest yourself! Go to http://www.kystatefair.org/ to find out more information about this great event!
