Home At Last

It was February 18th, of this year, when Millie was found roaming the streets of a small town in Tennessee. Not only was this young sweet dog severely underweight ,but she also had 9 puppies. We got the call that she and her puppies need a place to be raised and nourished back to health.

Within 1 hour of the call, Millie and her precious 1 day old puppies were warm and cuddled up, in our master bathroom.

That day, Millie's life changed. Every morning when she woke up, there was a sense of relief in her that she was finally safe and sound.

Well, it was April and all of Millie's puppies were adopted. She remained at our house, where I do admit, she got a little pudgy. She became one of the pack and as the days went by, she felt more and more like our dog. Considering we had 4 dogs already, we weren't looking to permanently keep her.

Raising this silly girl was quite a chore! She liked our chickens (they tasted good). Determining her breed was almost impossible, as she would act like a different breed of dog each day!

You can also see that she was very vocal.

Don't get me wrong! Millie was NOT a bad dog. She was very sweet and loved people!

After all resources to adopt Millie were exhausted, we had given up on finding her a home. On the 21st of June we got an inquiry from a lady interested in adopting her! It was the perfect home with children that we knew Millie would enjoy seeing.

The nice family met Millie and they all fell in love with her!
Millie got the home she deserved. We get frequent updates on how she is doing. All of the hard work we put into making her a great dog has paid off.

Due to various reasons, we are taking a break from fostering but what a great way to end this chapter of our lives!
